Your Brain Fills in the Blind Spot

Your visual field has a blind spot, but your brain usually hides it from you.

The optic nerve exits through the retina at a point without photoreceptors. Rather than showing a blank hole, the brain blends nearby visual information into a coherent scene.

It is a small everyday reminder that perception is constructed, not simply recorded.
